One Room Challenge - Master Bedroom Reveal and Sources!
We’re officially 100% finished with our bedroom! For now, haha.
Back in September we committed to finishing this bedroom in only 8 weeks. We took it down to the drywall, with a long list in mind of projects to take this from from “yawn” to “yay!”:
delete horrible sconces
wall and ceiling repair
paint all walls in bedroom and closet white
picture frame trim molding feature wall
new flooring
custom trimwork on walls, doors and window
simplifying shelves in closet and making a “dressing area”
revamping some marketplace nightstands for a custom furniture look
adding a cozy reading corner
making over our ikea Hemnes dresser
making a custom wall hanging with our company Fifteen Twelve Home Co.
new bedding and rug to make the space feel finished and cohesive
It was a long list, and for a little while I wondered if we were being to ambitious for an 8 week challenge, but thar she blows:
As you can imagine we are beyond excited at the way it turned out. And grateful, honestly grateful. We’ve been married for 9 years and we never thought we would ever have a space this beautiful that we get to come back to each evening. Let’s take a look at the whole room shall we? Keep scrolling for the befores! And then we will get to what you came here for— those sources.

So there you have it. Many of these items were marketplace finds, and we looked for deals to save what we could. For those asking, yes we do have a budget breakdown! I like to divide my budgets into full room budget and a just decor budget. Not everyone is looking to completely rip out their entire room! Here we go:
Full Room Budget Including Accessories: $4,142.92
Room Budget Excluding Furniture, decor and accessories: $1,742.56
Just Decor and Accessories Budget: $2,347.39
Thanks for tuning in! Now I’m off to fall into a coma after that marathon of home renovation!
